Microsoft’s store opening video. Contains high-fives, whoops, and a store-length tunnel of staffers to greet visitors. Haven’t we all seen this somewhere else before?

As seen at the Brighton iPhone Developer Group....
On Tuesday evening, I gave a short talk at the Brighton iPhone Developer group. As I’m not entirely ready to take the veil off my forthcoming iPhone app just yet, I decided to run through a few handy things I’ve come across in development. Seasoned OS X developers will probably be more than familiar with some of these, but figured I’d post a list of everything mentioned in the...

Just a Touch Away, the Elusive Tablet PC →
Another former Apple executive who was there at the time [of certain tablet prototype presentations] said the tablets kept getting shelved at Apple because Mr. Jobs, whose incisive critiques are often memorable, asked, in essence, what they were good for besides surfing the Web in the bathroom. Steve clearly wouldn’t be entertained by this T-shirt, via lowindustrial

Functioning Form - Apple's Market Share Across... →
These days it seems like Apple Inc. is getting to more markets each year. From computers to music to phones to games, the list keeps getting longer. So how is the company doing in some of these categories? Looking at the numbers, I think it’s safe to say they’re doing pretty well….

More Ramp Champ Ramps →
The folks from the IconFactory released a couple more ramps for my current-favourite iPhone game Ramp Champ at the end of the week. I can’t link to the purchases themselves (they’re in-app purchase costing $1 each) but as you’d expect they’re as slick as hell.

Shared Items on Google Reader →
Since NetNewsWire switched to using Google Reader’s sync mechanism a week or two ago, I’ve actually started using (though not entirely tolerating) the Google Reader web-app. The Shared Items feature is super-handy and this is my shared list of things that don’t quite make it into Tumblr.

Build Conference →
Earlier in the year, I did a little work for Andy McMillan - organiser of Build - on some of the website and marketing copy for the forthcoming conference. I’ve been so excited seeing copy I helped to shape appear in the Fusion ads that I forgot to book my ticket to the conference until today. If you’re a web designer, you’re going to want to be in Belfast on November 5th for...
