John Mayer's One Week Digital Cleanse →
Interesting idea from musician John Mayer: a one-week digital cleanse. Whilst I can’t say I’m going to be taking part in this (one thing I’ve master this year is the ability to go digital-cold-turkey for a few days), I’d strongly encourage folks who feel a little over-run with digital media to consider it.

About that Seekrit Project
If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been somewhat-lamely teasing about a seekrit project for quite a while. Whilst it’s not yet ready for submission to Apple (and as such, I can’t yet say when you’ll be able to get your hands on a copy in the App Store), I’ve been dying to start publicly talk about it.
Whilst I’m still...

The Best of Bootie 2009 →
Back in January 2008, I was in San Francisco for Macworld and spent an awesome evening at the DNA Lounge for Bootie SF. If you’re not familiar with the awesome musical mashup that is Bootie, be sure read this wikipedia article lest you confuse this post’s title for a 4Chan thread.
The folks at Bootie are generous enough to offer the best mashups of the year for free download, and...

President Obama, It's Time To Fire the TSA →
A great article by Joel Johnson at Gizmodo, here’s a choice quote:
It’s been nearly a decade since terrorists used airplanes to attack our country, and last week’s attempt makes it clear that the lack of terrorist attacks have nothing to do with the increasing gauntlet of whirring machines, friskings, and arbitrary bureaucratic provisions, but simply that for the most part,...

What's the consensus on In-App Twitter posting?
With my side-project tantalisingly close to reaching 1.0, I’m looking at a few features that will appear in the 1.1 release. Whilst I’m aware that work on 1.1 features sounds a little crazy, I’m awaiting bugfixes in the API in question before I can ship - hence this extra thinking and breathing time.
One feature that I very-much want to add in 1.1 is the sharing of items via...

Ten things that annoy the f*ck out of me on... →
Fantastic article by Jeff Croft - particularly item number 5:
5. People threatening to unfollow me — This may come as a huge surprise to your self-centered ass, but guess what? I don’t do this for you. Don’t waste any of your precious 140 characters telling me you’ll unfollow me if I don’t do this or that, because I. Don’t. Give. A. Fuck. Go ahead, unfollow. You won’t hurt my feelings. I promise.

Paddy Donnelly has a beautifully illustrated blog post on the basics of how to spell. From “to” to “too”, “they’re” to “their”, this is music to my ears: and available as a printable image too.

Snapping pages with LittleSnapper from Google...
Since publishing my writeup on Google Chrome, one of the common things that folks have observed is that LittleSnapper isn’t fully integrated with the application (and there’s no ‘Snap Page from Google Chrome’ support right now).
That’s not entirely true, however as there’s a nice little extra that we’ve already got in LittleSnapper for you to use that...

A week with Google Chrome
In the five years that I’ve used a Mac, I’ve had two browsers of choice: Camino, and then with Safari 3’s arrival Safari. I know that folks swear by Firefox, but I don’t - and typically find myself swearing at Firefox. Whilst the Mozilla folks have done a fine job of making it look like a Mac app, it never seems for feel and behave like a Mac application. Part of my Safari...
