Macworld 2010 moves to February →
Sensible move: IDG are shifting Macworld to avoid a clash with CES, scaling down the Expo to one Moscone Hall (North) and moving the conference to Moscone West, along with a Saturday Expo opening too.

What's new in iPhoto 8.0.2 →
I wouldn’t normally link this were it not for the fact that iPhoto 8.0.2 finally corrects the most glaringly-stupid flaw in iPhoto ‘09: you couldn’t previously link people’s faces with their Address Book entry.

Of course I’m going. It’s like Woodstock for development nerds.
I won’t be out in San Francisco for WWDC, though keep an eye out for a few Realmac HQ escapees in the form of Dan, Ben, Danny and Keith.

Brilliant. Too bad the Dharma food labels were taken down by ABC a few years ago: it would be awesome to label things at Realmac HQ with Dharma logos.

The Nine Apps on my iPhone
I find myself becoming more and more fussy about the number of applications I keep on my iPhone - mostly because I don’t need 9 screens of mediocre apps. I simply keep the ones I actually use on the device, and keep a small pool of ‘notables’ within iTunes - hence my previous complaints about the App Store. So, without further ado: here’s a quick run-down of the (shipping)...

iPhone Camera Usage on Flickr →
davebc:
The iPhone ranks among the top five most popular cameras on Flickr. How long as it been this way? I know the iPhone shot up the cameraphone charts a while ago, but now it’s hanging with Canon and Nikon in terms of sheer quantity.
Dear Apple: please, oh please, make the next iPhone’s camera not suck so hard.

Basic Filtering of Tweets in Twitterrific
After seeing Dan’s post on avoiding SXSW tweets in Firefox using Greasemonkey, I figured I’d share some tips for Twitterrific on the desktop, as there’s actually some seekrit things you can do to filter out tweets containing specific terms.
Simply enter the following into the Terminal and hit return:
defaults write com.iconfactory.Twitterrific tweetTextFilter -string...
HowTo: Avoid the smug SxSW tweets
iamdanw:
Not going to SxSW? Couldn’t give a rats arse about how much drunken networking fun your friends are tweeting about? No problem, the solution is easy.
Install Greasemonkey
Install Twitter Filter
Add ‘sxsw’ to your blacklist filter
Enjoy the peace and quiet with a nice cup of tea.
If you follow me on Twitter, you may want to do this…. :-)
