1. You know how downloading 2.5GB Xcode updates can get somewhat…. tedious? The folks at Palm have just announced their in-a-browser Ares IDE for webOS. It’s pretty darn slick, with drag-and-drop UI creation and the ability to deploy to your device from the browser (albeit so long as you’ve got the Mojo SDK installed).

As noted by one Yahoo developer:

Rarely do I come across a webapp that boggles my mind as to how it was built. [Ares] is one of them.

Say what you will about Palm’s not-entirely-awesome hardware: but this is a mindblowing web application.
