Just a quick note relating to things that I’m working on currently. If you’re a LittleSnapper user, have a few minutes to spare, and have some feedback on the app we’d love to hear your feedback in this quick questionnaire.
Since publishing my writeup on Google Chrome, one of the common things that folks have observed is that LittleSnapper isn’t fully integrated with the application (and there’s no ‘Snap Page from Google Chrome’ support right now).
That’s not entirely true, however as there’s a nice little extra that we’ve already got in LittleSnapper for you to use that allows you to snap the current webpage, no matter which browser you’re using: the LittleSnapper Bookmarklets.
If you’re wanting to know when LittleSnapper will detect Chrome, and the full range of snapping options become available for Chrome (‘Snap Page from Google Chrome’ and ‘Open Current Website in LittleSnapper’): they’re entirely dependent on Chrome getting an AppleScript dictionary. The good news is that there’s already a ticket on the Chrome bug tracker, and it’s something earmarked for Milestone 5 (which, I believe, is the next after the initial beta release).
Updated 1 May 2011 to point to the most recent bookmarklet.
I’ll be joining my good friends (and former colleagues) from TUAW tonight for their weekly talkcast. We’ll be talking news, LittleSnapper 1.5 and Ember and more. As always, it’s live-streaming on Talkshoe.
Today sees the launch of LittleSnapper 1.5 and our new Ember inspiration-sharing service. It’s been a long-time coming, but we’re super, super excited to show you the new update. My impartial side says you’ll like it.
We’ve been a little angry at Realmac HQ about a certain application gratuitously borrowing from LittleSnapper’s UI. My particular favourite (not featured in the post) is the Predicate Editor sheet (LittleSnapper / Voila) that not only swipes the language, but also the capitalisation… “Liberal gratuitous borrowing” is one thing. Swiping language that I fucking put in the application (capitalisation intact) is another thing entirely.
